Jennifer Lopez was born on 24 July, 1970 in Bronx (New York).She is a well known singer, dancer, actress and a fashion designer. She is mostly called by the nick name J-Lo or J.Lo. Her father’s name is Guadalupe Rodriguez and mothers name is David Lopez. She grew up in the Castle Hill section of the Bronx. Her father is employed as a computer operations manager and her mother is a teacher. She spent her academic career in Catholic school. She was a good student and a natural athlete.  Since her childhood, she wanted to be a singer and she started her career in Japan by joining the chorus of Hinton Battle’s “Synchronicity”. Later on she joined “Golden Musicals of Broadway”, productions of “Oklahoma” and “Jesus Christ Superstar”. She completed her graduation in 1987 from Preston High School. She was taking dancing and singing lessons since the age of 16. She had taken admission at Baruch College which is in New York but she left it after completing one semester. Then she joined a dance school in Manhattan and played a role dancing on the production of “In Living Color” as one of “The Fly Girls”. She moved to LA for her show. Then she got the opportunity in television as a video girl for rap artist and she did various assignments on a television such as ‘South Central’, ‘The Crash of Flight 7’ etc.
